Despite embarking on their maiden continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This occasion offered a platform for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
