“That was unfortunate. That was kind of an exchange with Cowboys supporters out in front of us,” Jones explained during a Tuesday interview. “Present was a swarm of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, our fans. The entire stadium was filled with enthusiasm for the Dallas team.”
He further emphasized that the signal was entirely accidental, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I simply put up the incorrect digit,” he noted. “It was inadvertently done. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can. However, it got resolved rapidly.”
