The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in strength within the city.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of heroes who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, striking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could enable the party access locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Seekers and Planners groups.

Fans can expect learning which players will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
